I'm excited to see what you do with your new series! Love Lee's idea of building off the portal concept with a thriller that has plenty o' romance. I'm a total sucker for crossovers (probably my Forest nature that wants to interconnect the hell out of everything), so if this new series also had little callbacks to your previous books, that would be my idea of heaven.
I'm listening to this episode in chunks and just heard the bit about your earlier sleuth characters that could be revived (LOVE!), and I had a thought...Not sure what your comfort level is with AI, but have you used NotebookLM to brainstorm? If you're comfy with their terms + conditions, you might upload those books (or even just synopses of them, I suppose), and chat with Notebook to mine your own back list for potential story ideas. I love thinking with AI in this way, because I don't realize how much of my own work I've forgotten, and there are all these story nuggets hiding in plain sight.
I have thought about it, actually. I just met with a team to talk about AI books and brainstorming and it’s definitely something I’m thinking about. Thanks!

Yay! You know I've still not settled on an idea. I'm usually not this wishy washy, but IDK what to do. Thanks for listening :)
